Learn How to Sell Your Art Work Fast

So you want to sell your art work? That’s great! You know, a good friend of mine once told me that there’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path and one of the paths is going to be much harder than the other…

I never wanted to believe it or even try to understand it. After struggling for so many years and finally giving in to his statement I can honestly say that I wish I would have at least tried harder.

So what do you know about eBay? eBay is a great place to sell your art! In fact many people use eBay to sell their drawings, paintings, black and white photos etc. The greatest thing about eBay is that you can set either flat rate prices for your work or you can allow people to bid on your finished pieces and sell it to the highest bidder. It is very easy to create a seller’s account and set up your first live auction.

With a catchy title and unique content around each item you submit, you can reach a huge in-demand market for your products.

Craigslist! Another avenue for those of you who are not into the whole auction and bidding cycle. Craigslist is fast becoming one of the biggest on-line communities with sites designated to each city and state and country around the globe. You can post classifieds on just about any topic you can think of and participate in the community therein.

You should also look into Art Galleries too. You may be thinking that I’m a little crazy for suggesting that you go waltz into an art gallery and demand that your art be displayed on spec. What is spec? Spec is the same as speculation. It’s where you agree to have your art displayed for free with no profit to you. It’s you going into an art gallery, presenting your portfolio to the owner and then asking that they give you a month to display your art work and anything that sells, the owner will keep all the profit.

Once your art work is popular then you can negotiate commissions and consignments…

It seems like a tedious task to go through all the steps above just to make money from the stuff you enjoy doing, but that’s the cold hard truth of it. It takes a lot of time and patience mixed with persistence and determination and most of all motivation to making yourself known and getting people to want your work!
You can be traditional and follow the route used by 90% of society or you can get more information on how regular people just like you are literally getting paid to draw, paint, sketch etc.. For more info visit Sell Your Art Work.
